OCR: Displaying rulers and positioning guides Aldus FreeHand provides set of rulers, which run along the top and down the left side of the illustration window to help you measure and position elements precisely. To turn the rulers on or off, choose "Rulers" from the View menu. checkmark next to "Rulers' on the View menu indicates that the rulers are visible The rulers display points picas, inches, decimal inches millimeters depending on the selected unit of measure for the illustration. You can drag nonprinting vertical and horizontal guides from the rulers to make if even easier to position or measure elements.
